Markstrom isn't waiving his NMC for NJ.

And Palat sure as hell isn't waiving his NMC for Calgary.

Since it's been reported that Detroit has a strong interest in Elias Lindholm, There is no way that Colorado offer gets him. Detroit can afford him without the retention and would easily offer Craig Conroy a far better offer with an extension in hand.

Bruins block ur number, huge overpayment for a guy who wants to sign in BOS on July 1st, without wasting the assets

I know many look at Palat’s cap hit and scoring production and think he is overpriced. But I think NJD see him very differently. He is one of our most reliable two-way players, is a solid veteran that meshes with with the kids. Sure we paid a premium for that, but it was needed. Devils like him here.

Famous Seamus is not a trade chip at this time. Check back in one year.

If Detroit buys a soon to be 30 yo at the deadline they are actually dumb. Thats a win now move that has no chance of winning now

So Lindholm will be 30, He still has about 10 years left of hockey, Detroit should be very competitive in the time. Yzerman as of now is trying to make us a playoff team. And adding Lindholm only makes us better. Colorado can't afford him long term with Landy coming back. It makes total sense for us to add a 60-80 point 2C to our lineup.

Idk where you got 10 years of being good lol. Likelihood is guys decline at 34 not everyone ages like Crosby and Pavelski. I hope Detroit makes that move over Boston or the jets who could actually win. The red wings defense and goaltending sucks

I never said that he has 10 years of good hockey left, Just that he has 10 years of hockey left. Detroit is looking at upgrading their D and Goaltending. Detroit has been linked to Hanifin and possibly Gibson as well. And Yzerman will get it done.

The Sens need to get better defensively with any moves they're likely to make. Trading a good defensive Dman for a really bad defensive forward is not gonna do that

I don’t think this is the gotcha you think it is. “Lindholm might be able to put on skates for 10 more years but he’ll only be good for 4 of them” is a terrible argument.

With the huge question mark around Detroit in the playoffs this season, I would be ok with Lindy going there, instead of playoff competition in the west
