Rangers currently have the worst bottom 6 in the league. But it’s not the only issue. This team is extremely lazy and soft and REFUSES to play any sort of defense

Ducks aren’t gonna accept regardless. They’re gonna ask for young players or prospects AND picks

I’ve done many posts with a 2nd and late round pick and multiple duck fans said it’s fine lol. You’re the only one against it

I wouldn't mind seeing some core guys benching to be honest. I wouldn't mind that at all.

Kreider was lazy. Trouba was lazy. Miller made some bad plays. Fox was lazy defensively. Goodrow/Bonino continues to suck. I want to see some accountability, some emotions, some pissed off attitude

Yeah, I mean agree. It needs to suck more to lose they way they are losing. They are beating themselves with sloppy play and lack of accountability.

Why would Anaheim want Nick Bonino or the sixth?

Substitute Ryder Korczak and that would probably suffice. Dump the fading Bonino elsewhere.

Start with Zibanejad. Trocheck is completely outplaying him this year and frankly so was Chytil before he got hurt. Really out here paying someone 8.5m a year to be the 3rd best center on the Rangers (not that he is the 3rd best center but it's how he's been playing). I'm convinced that the team won't win anything meaningful without a huge core shakeup. And MZ is the odd man out now. Trade him and bring in a superstar winger and some high end prospects.

Can't trade him. He doesn't want to leave his dj life in NYC and he has full no trade clause. People not gonna like this but this off-season they need to move core guys on modified no trade clause, like Kreider, and Trouba, maybe even move someone like Lindgren.

If there's no improvement through the rest of this season (and playoffs) I think a conversation should occur about scratching him until he waives the NMC. It's gotten that bad. I agree about Lindgren it's just not smart to lock him up for a long-term deal. But getting rid of Kreider would be unwise, since he's the only certified clutch playoff performer we have. Trouba's contract sucks but I think the locker room might fall apart without him.

I don't know. I think Kreider disappears too. And he is holding up top 6 space in my opinion. He should at most be a 3rd line winger. He and Mika can only produce on the pp. I do not hold Kreider in any way near high regards as you seem too. For a guy that big he rarely hits.

Weird because you told me the bottom 6 was fine and not a problem.

And that your team was elite defensively.

Checks notes: you’ve only been getting above average goaltending lately and quick came back to earth. Damn

Are you trying to tell me that I was absolutely 100% right and the goaltending was covering up the Rangers warts and blinding you?

I do think Kreider goes on notorious invisible streaks but when all is said and done, will have 40 goals or more at the end of the year. Plus he's the only remnant from the Lundqvist era, plus like I said in the playoffs he's fantastic, I think he's on a reasonable enough contract where I can look past the flaws. I agree that he and Zibanejad need to be broken up. I would be fine making Panarin #1 LW and Kreider #2 but keeping Kreider on the PP

I respectfully disagree. It is time to pass on the regin. Laffy should have a shot at his natural position. We need the cap space and with so many Lw prospects in the pipe he is the odd man out. Possibly Lindgren also.
So like
Lw) Kreider, Laffy, Panarin, Cuylle, Othmann, Berard, Sykora. Kreider is the only one with modified no trade clause. He makes sense to move to shed cap and get assets back. Potentially open up for a true top 6 Rw. We need that more than a bottleneck on Lw.

Yea the bottom 6 is better when chytil and Kakko are in. Lmao look at their analytics in the beginning of the year when they were dominating teams outside of a few bad losses. They were fully healthy and playing within Lavi’s structure

The analytics from the beginning of the year said they were a mediocre team carried by unsustainable play by their backup goalie. Which you ignored and called bull****.

And then the unsustainable backup goalie play did not sustain

Right because Quick and Louie are sooooo elite and carried this team 😂

They played team defense which is the MAJOR difference between then and now. They’re bleeding odd man rushes which can easily be fixed

But they currently have the lowest PDO of the new year so they’re unlucky which wont stay like this for the rest of the year

You currently have a goal differential 16 goals better than expectation and are claiming bad luck?

Did you watch the Rangers vs Blues? They got goalie’d so hard. They’re a bit unlucky right now, it happens

Quick and Louie saved 16 goals above expectation in like their first 14 games. They were carrying you.

Yes. It happens. And it wasn’t happening for the first half of the season, and Jonathan Quick and Louis stole 6/7 wins by goalieing other teams. And I tried explain it wasn’t sustainable
