Description
Ducks need a player to put the puck back in the net. Now Vanek may not be a two way forward but he can easily fir alongside Getz and Eaves.

Vanek is a good edition but he's gonna command a little more. Probably at least 1 more year and $1.5M more dollars.

He's not signed yet, so a nice 1 x 1.5-2M deal would be nice.

I think you're unjustifiably being railed for this. That may be less than he could get elsewhere, but vanek on a 1 year deal for less than $2M seems like a low-risk opportunity to me. Best case scenario he jives well with Getz or our 3rd line. Worst case he isn't a good fit and we're only out 1.7M. Not to mention I'm sure he could be traded near the deadline anyways if we thought we'd be better without him.

Vanek is a good idea. A bit undervalued, but it allows you to take Rakell off the top line. Also, consider calling up Steel to center Rakell/Perry.
