I don't think there's a situation Sean Walker commands a first round pick without salary retention.

I would disagree with the way he's been playing but sure; Flyer could fit some salary on a 1 yr basis.

This is interesting because it's basically a net 0 change in terms of firsts, and G's contract expires when Michkov comes over and hopefully Frost or Cates or whoever has finally solidified the 3C spot, and with the cap hit gone, we should be in the market for a true 1C since we don't have one in the pipeline, nor would we draft anyone next year or the year after who could fit that role. It would be a nice stop gap for the next year and a half, and wouldn't it be something if G returns and leads us to a little playoff success before he retires a Flyer, as it should have been the whole time. If we had the talent on the wings from 2016-2020 as we do now, he would still be here.

G is honestly the perfect person we need as our 1C (which is ironic). Fanbase would accept it because hes a legend and the team would appreciate the support front office would show them. FLA 1st is expendable especially if we do acquire a 1st for Walker. Works for me.
