Yeah, it’s not enough to get Hawks to play ball. You want them to burn a retention slot, you gotta make it worth their while.

Totally right on this, there need to be an minimum of an fourth or third round pick involved to burn one years and halve of contract retention for Chicago.


Edit: also why would Montreal want an defenseman in return of Allen ? Montreal have too many D prospect and are thinking of trading one or two for acquiring an good forward.
