    You truly think the rebuilding Sharks are giving up a 1st for a 30 year old LD (literally the only position where they have too many NHL ready players) and a 7th D who can't stay healthy who may or may not be named in a s*xual assault case soon?

    On the other hand they would almost definitely do the Liljegren trade if NJs second doesn't upgrade to a 1st. They want young RHD

    JT on pace for 68pts. 11 mill cap hit.... 2nd should be on the other side of the deal. 11 mill should be 90-100pts

    Jackets would say yes Value wise but not fit wise. We have too many defenders and moving picks in a lost season is not a smart move. Especially as a lame duck gm.

    Sabre fans are going tar and feather me for suggesting this.
    With the trades to MTL and PHI you giving away Liljegren and Tavares.
    Add them to the Buffalo trade.
    Add Erik Johnson to Cozens, to balance the NHL rosters.
    Buffalo adds top 4 NHL RHD plus a decent RHD prospect (Niemela is better than any of their current defense men in the pipeline).
    Minten is a good prospect but Buffalo has 7 in the pipeline better than him.
    Tavares just may be the catalyst to drag the Sabres to the playoffs.

    Buffalo probably still says no but it is closer in value than the trade above, as it helps Buffalo the next two years (Tavares and Liljegren) and in the future (first, Minten and Niemelä).
