If this is just for fun so be it but the wild aren’t moving EEK. If they were this would be on the lower end of offers

Don't see Guerin trading EK unless he gets a quality C prospect as part of the compensation

This MINN-VCR trade rumour is ridiculous 🙄
It’s obvious that Eriksson Ek is not available.

Nevermind that Friedman literally squashed it into oblivion in his latest 32 thoughts article.

Enough is enough. Put it to rest. It's not happening.

31 teams would want JEEK on their roster. 1 team IS NOT moving him. Period.

This is basically like 3 1sts and 3 2nds. You wouldn't get this much if you were going to trade him. I don't think anyone ever has. At least not in the last 30 yrs.

However you want to justify or break it down in your head, the Wild aren't trading Ek, period, but certainly not for a collection of (much) lesser pieces

Kuzmenko is a guy who’s clearly fallen out of favor and has very little value. Raty and podkolzin have been solid AHL players that haven’t made the jump. brzustewicz Is the only really quality asset going back based off current production in the OHL. This is a a lot of quantity not enough quality for a guy they don’t have to move other teams would offer more quality

I agree that it is an overpay but how else do you convince someone to give up a player that they would like to keep?
Another aspect of this deal is that it provides some affordable protection if Pettersson decides not to re-sign with the Canucks.

I was more pushing back on the Wild fan saying it wasn't enough. But ya if Petey goes then we are done anyway.

All of them have upside. You wouldn't get that type of value is my point. If you want a more proven roster player than a guy who scored 39 goals last yr that is fair. But the value is so over the top its silly.

No, it's not enough to pry him out of there.

It's not a question of value. It's a question of both need and having their own long-term goals. Which none of this helps address or properly fills.

You expect us to just fork over our best center without giving us the means to offset that? Sorry, Raty ain't that. Whether fair or not, the ONLY way JEEK gets moved is if they KNOW they're getting a bona-fide 1C back. That means Petey. It starts and ends with him.

Obviously, it wouldn't be a 1v1, and Minnesota would have to add. But unless Pettersson is coming back Minnesota's way, they're never going to consider it otherwise.

If kuzmenko was actually a 39 goal scorer year in and out yall would never want to move him he had a 1 year wonder and is disliked by the coach. I’m not even a wild fan and there’s no shot they’d trade ek when they don’t have too for a bunch of maybes who aren’t even as good as Rossi at the same age. It doesn’t make sense for them to move him unless it’s for an overpay with his bargain of a contract

They'd be foolish not to. In a few yrs they'd have 6 extra young fwds or top prospects.

Since Eric Lindros has there ever been a player who returned this many high picks and top prospects?

Matt duchene trade would be the floor for JEE and he doesn’t actually want to leave so probably more to drag him out of there
