Giving up on Holtz now would be so short-sighted, he has so much frickin talent in him and it would be such a waste to throw it away on a high-price goalie with limited term (who's having quite a down season).
Holtz will outlast Ruff in New Jersey and from that point onward he'll be free to get the opportunities he (and the team!) needs to succeed.

Hopefully Fitzy thinks the same way.

Agreed, was just basing this on what the current situation in New Jersey looks like right now

You can keep Colton if he were to come to the oilers he would immediately be considered a cap dump just like people consider foegle a cap dump lmao

Lmao I don't think anyone smart was ever considering WF a cap dump, as an oilers fan I think Sissons is great for us. Mcleod works much better as a LW next to Drai, an experienced 3C would be so great come playoff time. Sissons is signed to 2.8 over the next 3 years if we count 23-24 meaning this could be a deadline deal, he's a consistent 10g 20A type of guy who is reliable defensively. His offensive game will surely be elevated in Edmonton and he will bring a grittiness that's clearly been missing the last 2-3 playoff runs.
