Why would Boston do that? Carlo is locked up for pretty cheap with term. This would also put them at 2 NHL defensemen under contract for next season and would still have to pay Mittelstadt, who really isn't that much of an upgrade over Zacha. They are far better off with Carlo and then looking for a legitimate upgrade at center in free agency

I have said this before…. Buffalo would have to add to this deal if it was centered around Mittelstadt.

If we are moving Carlo I’d preferably want to make it a package deal for cozens or Thompson

While people seem to somehow have not watched mittelstadt play for almost 3 years now, I do think Boston would easily decline.

They are built from the net/back end out and have done just fine with their forward group

Your first point was valid. But your 2nd point is just silly. Boston doesn't have the assets to get Cozens or Thompson

I agree with you, but currently that is just because of style of play, because mittelstadt is having a much better year than cozens. I prefer cozens skill set over mittelstadts, but it's just my preference. I don't think I can see logic in "it's mittelstadt ++" for Carlo, but cozens is worth far more than Carlo.

Can we please correct this to Boston doesn’t have the assets that they would give up for Cozens or Thompson. Last I checked, one team has won more games than another by a wide margin. Talent and culture usually dictates that.

If there is deal for Middlestadt, it would like center around Ullmark. Part of me believe the reason Buffalo hasn’t turned into atleast an average team is because of the inconsistency in net. You can say that’s not enough and that’s OK,

Their goaltending is getting better. Both guys are young. UPL looks like he figured it out but now is not getting goal support. Tages injuries and Cozens and the PP regression killed them this year
