I think that’s fair.

Tarasenko is valued at a late 1st 50% retained. And Chychrun is valued at a 1st and a good player/prospect

I disagree completely. I'll be surprised if anyone gives OTT a 1st at this point for Tarasenko. After his mediocre stint after last year's deadline deal with the Rangers and not really lighting the lamp this year? I'll be surprised if he goes for more than a 2nd.

Chychrun? Yes, I think a 1st + prospect is fair, but that's not what's happening here when you're adding in Roy, Lizotte and Kaliyev.

Roy + 2nd for Chychrun would be fair, or Kaliyev + 1st for Chychrun would be fair.

This proposed deal is a massive overpayment for LA. Massive.

Tarasenko is on a 63pt pace is a +12 on ottawa. Is also one of the best wingers on the market and can be had at 2.5 mil.

Real talk kaliyev isn’t worth a 1st. Chychrun has an extra year over Roy of term

Didn't say Kaliyev is worth a 1st, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from.

I don't care if Roy doesn't have term. He still has major value. This deal is treating him like a throw-in.

He's got 11G. He's on pace to barely break 20G. Come on, dude.

LA is trying to get Matt Roy to extend, if he's focused on trying the market the trade is dead on arrival.

When did assists start to mean nothing. He easily gets a late 1st

Nope. Teams wanted Tarasenko, or at least did, because of his goal-scoring prowess. That's pretty much dried up. He was a non-factor for the Rangers in the playoffs, is having a mediocre year this year, so no. not easily.

Honestly man, you seem like a good dude, but your homerism on here is next-level. You overvalue everything on your team ALWAYS. You seem to have a very difficult time being impartial. If the Sens were in the playoff race, Tarasenko was on another team and there were rumors the Sens were in on trading forhim, you'd be singing a VERY different tune.

If I was a team that could win it all this year and could acquire Tarasenko for a pick in the 27-32 range I’d do it 100% to get him at 2.5 mill

If I was almost guaranteed a first 2 round exit then I don’t

??? Tarasenko has been fine, 29 pts in 38 games, second best +/- on the team. His 0.76 PPG would be 5th on the Pens...

He's very very easily worth more than a 2nd at the deadline lmao

No you wouldn't. He's not worth a 1st anymore.

He’s literally on the same exact pace he had in both St Louis last year and Rangers last year. He’s been pretty consistent at being a 21-22 goals 60-65pts pace

I like that you laugh. It only makes you look more foolish to be that overconfident on something you clearly know nothing about. So let's save this so I can laugh when the Sens get a 2nd for him.

You're also oversimplifying what he brings. He's on pace for 23 goals. Previously to his trade to the Rangers, Tarasenko was coveted for his goal-scoring. Being on pace for 23G/59 points, is not worth a 1st.

And you realize that the Rangers overpaid for him then, too, right? There was a lot of mystery around Tarasenko his last year in STL because of his previous injury. He can still contribute, but 20G and 59 points, is not worth a 1st.

He hasn’t been injury prone at all this year neither has Chychrun. So I don’t see an issue. He’s also a +12 this year in ottawa when ottawa has like a huge negative goal differential

But he hasn't been the player he was since the injuries. It's cool. Like I said, we can pin this and revisit. You just have a very difficult time being impartial when it comes to anything related to the sens and if you can't even admit that, then honestly you're a bit delusional.

Kings not really interested in Tarasenko. They need right-handed forwards.

Matt Roy is only available if the Kings are out of a playoff spot at the deadline. Playoff teams don't trade away their best defensemen, pending UFAs or not.

There's nothing wrong with the value in this trade, but I don't think the Kings would do it.

I’d put a condition on the pick.

Like if they win it’s 24th 1st if they don’t it becomes a 2nd or something

lol "something you clearly know nothing about"... I have been watching closely every single NHL trade for 30+ years.

Tarasenko got traded for a 1st and a 3rd not even a year ago and guess what? He had exactly the same stats, 29 pts in 38 games at that moment, difference is he was -18 instead of +12 and had 1 less goal than this season.

It's laughable to think that no team is going to pony more than a 2nd round pick for a proven player like Tarasenko when they're trying to gear up for the playoffs.

Players traded for a 2nd round pick last deadline : Nino Niederreiter (had 28 pts in 56 games), Lars Eller (had 16 pts in 60 games), Mikael Granlund (had 36 pts in 58 games), Jordan Greenway (had 7 pts in 45 games)

We could do this for every deadline

Stop acting like you know more than others and call them foolish, homers, delusional, etc because you see things in your own biased ways.
