Lucius/Lambert and a 1st is a good base for Lindholm. I don't really think they would be interested in Tanev as he would just be a 3rd pair upgrade for them over Schmidt. We can send him elsewhere instead.

Easy no for Winnipeg. It's unlikely they mess with one of the best team defenses in the NHL to make a lateral move of Schmidt for Tanev or that the Jets move a good roster player at all in Barron.

The idea at the TDL is to add depth, not change it around.

Check again. Arizona has 47 points just like the Flames do. Except Arizona has 2 games in hand. Flames should be selling their UFAs and it’s actually been rumoured that Hanifin is open to sign in Arizona. Plus they really need to make a push for the playoffs. They need to give hope to their fans and hope to get a new building. Winning does that. They need to be buyers.
