Chicago is not trading 2nd and 3rd round picks for a small third pairing LHD d-man when their prospect system is full of LHD with higher upsides then Brannstrom.

No from Winnipeg. Far too much from Winnipeg to make a lateral move on defense.

The Jets are currently one of the best teams in the league with one of the best team defenses. Making a grand bad trade likely isn't in the plans.

Chychrun hasn't increased his value in Ottawa over what the Senators paid for him.

I mean I think it’s pretty close , also adding the good bottom 6 player in Kubalik makes it a pretty fair trade imo

Offensive defender and depth scoring for defensive defencemen and picks isn’t a lateral move imo. I say you guys get even better with those players

I mean fair, I was trying to find a place Brannstrom could go for picks and also gives him a roster spot.

Not at the price they're paying. Chychrun plays behind Morrissey and would be an okay add, but the Jets aren't paying more for him than Ottawa did.

I can't see the Jets moving Morrissey's partner with how well the defense is playing.

Playoff teams add at the TDL not swap their pieces for other similar pieces.

I really don’t know how to make that Flyers trade work and Ottawa not overpay or underpay. It’s a tough balance

Sens chose to dress MacKewen and scratch Kubalik (aka he was out with a "minor injury"). Don't think Kubalik has the value you think he does.

Your getting Chychrun for pretty much what Ottawa got him for, one less 2nd round pick from you guys and you also get a depth scorer, also Ottawa doesn’t need to trade Chychrun, Arizona did, so less leverage.

No they're not getting him cheaper. They're giving the same picks and throwing in a top 4 RHD and taking back a player that has no value to them in Kubalik.

Winnipeg has no incentive to mess with one of the best defenses in the league to overpay for a player and and up with less defensive depth.

If Ottawa doesn't want to trade him they can keep him. No biggie.

Would hope Jets decline.
First off, way to much going back to OTT
Second, we’re not trading one of the very few RHD we have when that’s one of our weaknesses
Plus wasting assets and cap space on players we don’t need doesn’t help the team at all

No… we get worse because we weaken our RHD and we waste assets we need to acquire a 2C and RHD on an overrated LHD we don’t need and a bottom 6 LHW we need even less
