No from Winnipeg. While Konecny is nice, he's not worth that much and doesn't fill any need. The Jets can't afford to make bad trades like this any time soon.

Banners fly forever.

Perfetti is a nice player, but he’s a few seasons away from his prime and he doesn’t skate well enough to be an effective forechecker, especially given his smallish size.

Konecny is a difference maker and Walker is an upgrade over Schmidt.

Plus, you move Schmidt’s contract so it isn’t an obstacle next season, and you’d be giving up assets over the summer to make that happen or else he’d be bought out which still impacts cap space going forward, so it’s expensive to make this trade but likely worth it given the benefit this season and next season too while the Jets are in the prime of their competitive window.

Philly passes. 2 cap dumps and a meh KHL player just leaves Perfetti and the 2nd which would be a really weak offer even without the cap dumps.
