Leafs pass on all of these Monahan isn’t worth a first even if they send a second back, jarnkrok>duclair, leafs aren’t spending any assets on Hanifin who will not resign in Canada even if he magically waives to come here, plus flames likely decline

Absolutely no chance Bonehead Brad pays a 1st and more to get Monahan after he paid a 1st to get rid of him.

what a hilarious over payment for monahan. Dude might be the slowest skater in the league, cant play defense at all and can only score on the power play. He's literally one of the last thing the leafs need.
Then Duclair is a massive downgrade from Jarnkrok

Yikes...three bad trades for the Leafs. Holmberg looks like he can play on the top two lines for 800,000. Leafs need Samsonov (to play well) this year whch he has done in his past two starts.
Jarnkrok is inexpensive and certainly as good as Duclair. Leafs shouldn't be giving up a RHD LIljegren with controllable years and Niemela for a rental Hanifan.

Liljegren and Niemela together aren't even close to Hanifin. Bungling Brad probably doesn't want Hanifin anyhow, after all he was shopping Hanifin every summer for the last few years he was GM in Calgary.

Jarnkrok is 32 SJ has no need for him. Samsonov has not been awful for 2 games in a row. Give it a week and Toronto will want a 1st for him

Sorry I was banned when the trade went through but I just wanted to say I’m really happy for you that’s two really good assets from Monahan and by 2027 that 3rd might be even better then the 2024 one will be and you guys can resign him in the offseason and get another 1st for him too, the leafs would have only offered robo and a 3rd we just won’t spend a 1st on a forward we don’t need, and you guys obviously got the better trade out of him
