Canucks are gonna have roughly 34-35M in cap space as it stands. Pettersson and Hronek will take up about half that. That leaves ~17M for 1 top 6 forward, 1 top 4 dman, a backup goalie, 1-2 more NHL dmen, and 2-3 more NHL forwards minimum. Adding Kampf who makes 2.4M makes no sense when we have Aman who can be a fine 4C for 825K

We don’t want to get rid of Kämpf it does nothing for us

All three trades look terrible.
All three teams pass.

What? Thats insanely good for Anaheim.

Willander and Lekkerimaki are not available.

Quoting: sens65
Exactly...that was part of my point.

Well the ANA-VCR trade isn't happening.

Quoting: sens65
I know that, but it would be a great deal for Anaheim if it did.

That is a great who's on 1st moment and I loved it!!

8 points in 44 games is more than you expected?

And he’s been one of the Leafs worst players this season. Among all Leafs he ranks

3rd worst GF% (36.25%)
3rd worst CF% (47.03%)
3rd worst xGF% (39.44%)
3rd worst GF/60 (1.7)
3rd worst GA/60 (2.98)
4th worst xGF/60 (2.1)
2nd worst xGA/60 (3.23)

He's used almost exclusively in defensive situations, what would you expect his rankings to be? Apparently common sense isn't so common anymore....

I’m about the farthest thing from a Leafs fan, but people throw these stats around too liberally without enough context/understanding. Kampf starts an insane 72% of his shifts in the d-zone (most among leafs, and probably up there as one of the highest in the NHL). All of these stats are guaranteed to slant negatively when that’s the case

It’s really not rocket science if you think about it. For Corsi, are shots more likely to be directed at your net or the opposing teams net on a shift when you start in the dzone? Obviously yours.

The easiest illustration is Klingberg being almost #1 on the leafs in Corsi. He’s been garbage, he just starts 67% of his shifts in the offensive zone

Last year with similar zone starts he did have better numbers though. His 22/23 stats were

49.3 GF% (down 13.05% this year)
48.89 CF% (down 1.86% this year)
50.08 xGF% (down 10.64% this year)
2.22 GF/60 (down 0.52 this year)
2.28 GA/60 (up 0.70 this year)
2.49 xGF/60 (down 0.39 this year)
2.49 xGA/60 (up 0.74 this year)

His play in general has gotten quite a bit worse this season
