He's a Inexperienced HC at the NHL level and they did nothing really in there staff to help him. Thats an outplayed excuse tbh. The devils core was plenty young last year when they made it. The difference is the vets they added were competent. Connor Clifton can't skate.

Age is an obstacle, but not in the traditional sense. They've really batted 0 for on basically every vet move they've made.

For other teams

No core vets here to teach kids, how are you supposed to magically blossom in 2yrs from now? Seems like the BUF & OTT way to go! It's hard for any gm to be good in the lesser markets
