if the Sens do end up trading Chychrun, which is seeming less likely by the day, they definitely won't be retaining on him. if they do end up trading him AND retaining on him, they'll be looking for better than that. in a vacuum, a 1st, 2nd, good prospect, and roster player seems solid. then it's a late 1st, a 2nd, a way worse player that would ultimately have the same cap hit as what they're trading away, because in this case, they're retaining, and a prospect that isn't going to have any natural roster spot on the Sens

He's not going anywhere. Chychrun directly addressed the rumours about him being unhappy in Ottawa, denying them outright. Brought up how he lives within 10 minutes of his sister and his Grandfather, and how the Ottawa Valley is like home to him and his family.

Fast forward to today, Staios spoke about how disappointed he was that his name was out there at all, talked about how he's an elite Dman and how there's always ways to make that cap work. Also when talking about Chychrun drawing interest around the league essentially said "yeah if I was another GM I'd want Chychrun too."

Connecting the dots, my guess is that some GMs saw Ottawa was struggling, called about Chychrun, and someone dropped hints to the media about how "Staios is taking calls on Chychrun". Then noted moron, Lalime's Martian on twitter made up a story about him being unhappy for clicks.

all very true, but we all know that the people on this website aren't gonna suddenly stop with the Chychrun trades anyways lmao. figured at least this one was worth giving an actual answer to, compared to the stuff from Penguins fans that are like "graves and a 6th" and stuff lol

Just a guess, but based on our needs, I imagine we would look at Broberg as return before Bourgault for Toffoli (if we were sellers).

Short-term needs: LHD
Long-term needs: goalie, LHD, 3C

The second he got a slight Twitter following he instantly started going on a huge ego trip, and hasn't really stopped. Also just some genuinely pathetic behavior too. Between groveling at the feet of barstool and Spitting Chiclets for a crumb of attention, to proudly posting about how cool he is for not tipping, to asking his followers to come pump his tires while he's on a date, he's just overall extremely Cringe. No clue why anyone acts like he's a serious person

I know Campbell stopped 2 beach balls last week in the AHL but not using the last retention on blackwood and if we take campbell the retention on him is not relevant
