The trade could have been made without Durzi, he clearly wasn't a key piece to that trade.

The trade for Muzzin was for a 1st, a roster player and a prospect (any prospect could have been used, Dubas hadn't signed Durzi so he tossed him into the trade).

See Sandin only became a bad player when he was no longer a Leaf.

It's always fun when you just make something up on the spot like this. How on earth do you figure it could have been done without Durzi? Were you in the room? Did you hear LA's GM say "yeah we dont care if he's there!"
seriously, what a hilarious thing to say

nah, see everyone here called sandin terrible, soft, slow and a bad pick until he was in washington and had a very obviously freak hot streak. but of course you think sandin is amazing now right? totally a top pairing guy or something simply because I dont think he's good.

I remember Weegar Mania but was that an actual offer? 😬

That was the reported ask from Florida that Dubas turned down.

These 3 players are future Hockey Hall of Famers. 🙄

Yet Leafs fans are always trading them on CFACGM. 🤔

Well not Knies. He REALLY is a future hockey Hall of Famer.

Apart from Knies those players is what a hockey front office would call “just another guy”

I think Dubas was okay in Toronto, its really difficult to pin all his questionable moves on him when its obvious Shanahan and other higher ups had a lot of influence or say in what moves were made.

And just imagine all the trade offers Dubas turned down because he over valued N. Robertson as a non starting point.

Maybe Dubas should have had Durzi (a much needed Rhd) as a non starting point to a trade.

Yes.

Shammy has to be held accountable too.

Except he's not.

He just fires people he hired. 🤔

Yeah, im sure you imagine things all the time so you can have a new excuse to be mad at dubas. It's pretty weird

McCann would have replaced Hyman, instead of Dubas trying to use N. Ritchie to do the job.

the problem was Toronto had handed out to many high value contracts they couldnt AFFORD McCann, Its not about replacing Hyman . if They coud have afforded to pay McCann 5M+ they would have just kept hyman for 5.5M.....The point is they couldnt afford to resign either of McCann or Hyman. They Picked up Ritchie for 2.5M more affordable with the contracts they had , had it worked. which it didnt.

That was literally never a thing. He was simply an ok prospect and well worth it to trade for a legit top pairing guy in muzzin
