While an ideal fit, Staple says Drury won’t likely reach out to Habs due to bad blood. “A person who talks to the Canadiens regularly said Montreal’s front office has believed for a while now that there’s no chance Drury reaches out to Kent Hughes”

I'm a Nic Dowd kind of a guy myself. Buy it depends. Now way I give a first for him. If WSH wants too much and Wennberg goes for like a 3rd. I pick Wennberg

Seems like a Lavi guy, but my only problem is do we want Dowd playing 3C? Is he capable to play 3C?

He certainly plays enough in DC to be considered a 3C. Going to be expensive to get though I imagine, don't think MacLellan is too keen on trading in-division.

Better than Brodzinski. But in general WSH makes sense because of Lavi system familiarity. Kubel would be option too.

Well brodzinski and cuylle have good chemistry going right now. I wouldn’t mind cuylle-dowd-brodzinski if Drury doesn’t like what he sees at the TDL (wheeler should be odd man out)

Yeah but Dowd can be 4th line C between Goody and Vesey in that case.

Rangers have a lot they could swap for Mitts. Schneider, Trouba, Mancini as a throw in

Why would they open up a hole on RD for a 3C? Lol most of these guys are rentals and will take picks to acquire

That’s why I said Mitts was a long shot

He's a 2C you could play at 3C, creating significantly better depth and a better 3rd line than with Brodzinski. Plus he's team controlled

That's fine, but what Mitts has done over the last 14 months doesn't come cheap.

You guys desperately need to resign him if he has that value. You’re trying to compete today and tomorrow. Not in 5 years

All the more reason for you guys to keep him. Desperately trying to compete now. BUF isn’t rebuilding for 5 years down the road

I would like to sign him, but we have locked in 2 C already and he's a good trade chip.

So a team in need of a 2C is the best fit.

My whole list is a bunch of 3C’s who are better than brodzinski and will only take picks to acquire, not roster players

Plus they don’t need team control because as of right now, chytil is trying to come back next year

Buffalo has a significant amount of talented forwards, which is why Mitts would available

Since 2020, chytil has been the better 5v5 center, both on-ice and individual per NST lol

And that’s besides the point. The point is if chytil comes back, they don’t have cap room for Mitts

Ya BUF has nothing but high end forwards. So good, the reason they are 25th in the league. 💀. Now mitts might be good but he isn’t disposable for BUF. Now if you can find a team in need of a 2C then you will get the value. But this isnt a sellers TDL unfortunately, many 3C types out there for less than a 1st and most teams aren’t entertaining the idea of moving a 1st. Outside of the retaining mitts moving forward it makes no sense for NYR to begin with

Injuries, no one in the league looks at their forward group and thinks they need more forwards 💀💀no cap rizz

How about since 2022, instead of including the Ralph Krueger era. Chytil also can't stay healthy
