Honestly, this is too steep. Being a leafs fan, I have some bias, but I'm not sure Saros solves the issues of the Leafs D.

Saros is very good but Toronto can't afford to give up that much for him. Besides the Leafs problem isn't goaltending the problem is the rest of the team doesn't play very good defense in front of the goalies.

Interesting, when you were more positive on some of @GabeFly's other Saros proposals.

As a Preds fan, this is the only one of the four I wouldn't jump at. I think the NJ, LA and CAR ones were overly generous to NSH. I find this package lacking.

Just being honest. I'd love to have Saros, but Knies and Minten are huge parts of the Leafs immediate future. And the D problems need to be addressed. I'm pretty confident on Woll (when he returns), and Hildeby will also be ready next year. That's a nice cheap tandem which the Leafs need in their current cap situation.

Wasn't negative about the trade, more of the fit for the Leafs current needs.

This is ridiculous. lol I wouldn't give up the first and one of those 2 guys for Soros. He costs too much and wont make a difference. Hildeby and a first. Id make that trade. No way I'd give Knies or Cowan though. Its D the Leafs need. Not goalies. They are set for goalies. And cost effective ones. Soros makes too much for the Leafs to take on now. Let alone what he will want to resign. Nope. Leafs better off moving FWD with what they have and putting their free cap space into the defense. Those cost effective young FWDs are only going to make the Leafs more dangerous in the future.
