Jackets don’t want/need marner. Leafs don’t have the prospects for jiricek let alone adding Jenner on top. Jenner would be like a first, Minten and maybe a smaller add and dump like Samsonov

I know that but I was just putting the price of Jiricek but I see like Minten and a first which is not even close but this value would be more even but obviously it won’t happen

Most CFACGM Leafs fans would offer Robertson, Timmins and a 3rd and say even that's too much.

I don't think this matches the situation. I doubt CBJ are looking to trade a young, team controlled player for the next 7 years for a 26 year old with only 2 seasons of control. CBJ are still seasons away from being a contender and Marner probably doesn't fit that timeline without an extension that they'd be heavily gambling on.

Pure value wise, maybe. But Columbus (a team without many options at top-6-C or 1RD) would then be in a similar position the Leafs are in (a lack of 1RD and too many top-6 forwards).

Marner clearly has the most value here, and it might even be close to Jenner + Jiricek, but I just don't see Toronto and CBJ being a fit for a Jiricek trade. We'd need a top-3/top-5 pick or young 1RD coming back, otherwise it's one step forward two steps back. Toronto has neither, and really no prospects at getting either.

Exactly, I think the only asset Toronto has to match value of Jiricek is Marner

Yeah obviously it isn’t happening but I think other leaf fans do not understand the value Jiricek carries and if there was to be a trade Marner is the only one that could make it happen but it won’t

Nah, just can’t seem to help outing themselves at every possible opportunity 👆

And way too easy to dunk on.

Jiricek’s trade value is arguably higher than Gauthier’s.

Same draft class, top-ten pick, high value position, high-upside. Only difference? Jiricek is already signed, so he can’t threaten to run off in UFA.

But there’s a difference between “I’m frustrated” and “I want out.” He’s reporting to Cleveland, and killing it in the AHL. It’s not like he’s being sent back to Europe or anything.

Not a Sharks fan - CBJ.

Rag on rebuilders as much as you want, both teams have more playoff wins than TOR over the course of the past, what…twenty years?

Why is he in the minors? He has already played 36games, it's not like they can't afford to give him ice-time. Idk anything about him as a player, he was a high draft pick and could be a real good player in the future. To say today that Jenner and him equal Marner value wise is a stretch.

Cause he desperately needs to enjoy the splendid beauty of Cleveland in January.

Because Andrew Peeke is too good, and should definitely be the actual Leafs target.

(In all seriousness, it's because CBJ are run by literal morons)

If he is that good why trade him? I know he has an amazing -41 last season.
