Not interested in Allen, but if that's what Schneider costs, I'd be all over that.

No reason for the rangers to trade Schneider

I'm not saying it won't happen, considering the TDL pumps up the value of nearly every player on the move, but I can't see getting a first in a Savard deal.

Just my 2¢

Don't understand why your trading that much for Schneider, Barron's probably gonna be better.

Straight up I don’t think he gets a first either but taking back Faksa’s full cap hit as well adds enough value for a late first IMO but eh I could be wrong.

Funny one Sabres’ fan saying that’s not enough for Schneider while another says it’s way too much. I’d assume it means I’m close. Got the idea talking to an open minded Rags fan a while back, but he did say Drury would have to have any interest in moving Schneider in the first place so this trade is based off of theoretical unease on contract negotiations in the off-season.

Idk why it’d be obvious but alright I guess we’ll have to see.

I mean Schneider has no leverage in negotiations. They should offer him $2m max

Too expensive for a backup goalie to UPL, although it's only 1 year left and we could afford it.

I say let the Ducks keep Zegras for that price and go after someone better like Mittelstadt. Mitts is 25, just hitting his prime, cost controlled for another year, has more offense, better defense, healthier and won't cost half of what the Ducks fans want for Zegras. I would do this package for Mitts before I would offer it for Zegras.

Lindgren got 3x3 so I'd imagine Schneider would be looking for around the same.
Kaako's QO is $2.5M and they are weak in RHD prospects.
All factors that suggest Schneider could get more.
I don't think they want to low ball him a year away from arbitration either.

My guess would be $3M x 2 making him an RFA again when Trouba's deal expires.
Lets them negotiate a long term extension before moving him into a top 4 role, which may save cap for the team or a 1 year trial before a long term extension at a potentially higher cap hit.

Lindgren played majority in the top 4 while Schneider was stapled to the bottom pair lol it isn’t the same. What Kakko makes has no effect on Schneider, and the rangers have Hollowell in the AHL who’s been really good. This is the same conversation people said about Laffy and Kakko, “oh they won’t be able to afford his contract” or “they will demand too much money”

He will get like 2 years $2m max and then get a long term deal when Trouba is gone
