Once again, the Canucks aren’t gifting you Zadorov. You had your chance to acquire him and missed out. If you want him now it’ll have to be an overpay

And btw the only way we’d move him is if we’re getting Tanev, so you aren’t gonna have both him and Tanev

Crazier things have happened. Leafs could get Tanev first, then another defenceman becomes available that Rutherford really wants and decides to move on from Zadorov at the deadline.

Canucks just paid a 3rd and 5th for a 2nd pair defenceman, why are we giving him for just a pair of 5ths

Deadline prices are lower. Canucks will have had him for three months. They paid a bigger price for that.

Why do you think Van want to move Zadorov?

Before the Lindholm deal some insiders like Friedman said it's a possibility they move out money to maybe bring in another defenceman like Tanev. Zadorov could be the odd man out.

Typical low ball offers. A 2027 2nd doesn’t cut it for Tanev. The price is likely a 2nd this year and another piece. Jett Woo and a 2024 2nd is pretty comparable what it’ll cost.

Canucks decline. They aren’t moving Zadorov, that rumour has been disproven multiple times by numerous different sources. If they did move Zadorov then it’s for more than what they paid, not less. Allvin has shown to be a very patient and smart GM, he won’t trade a guy he just acquire at a net loss.

More than likely they pay to dump Myers. Real salary this season was only 1 mil, some seller will take that that he doesn't have trade protection to as a warm body.

And I know Anaheim was representing "any team" but Brodies contract is waiver proof. 5 mill cap hit, 7.5 mil real salary, none of it in signing bonus. No one's picking it up.

You can't claim he's worth waiving AND claim he's a potential top 4 D in the same sentence. The teams who are missing the post season aren't going to spend ~3 million for 30 games to find out if a 32 year old is a good fit for their team to sign next year.
