Description
Well Last Night sucked. They got outworked

Freddy has been able to run the third line, but deserves a shot in the top 6

I’m conflicted between having him opposite Pasta doing the dirty work or pairing him with Coyle because their advanced stats are so good together. Basically you could flip DeBrusk and Frederic for all intents and purposes depending on what type of line you want to employ. I think Marchand has played better with DeBrusk / Coyle vs Frederic / Coyle

I do think the JVR, Poitras, Geekie line would make sense. I was surprised when I looked at JFresh’s analytics data that Poitras was still in the high 70s. He probably deserves more consistent playing time. Using Geekie against physically stronger centers on the faceoff probably would help some there

Part of me wants them to stand pat and rotate some Providence guys to see if they can emerge

couple things:
don't take anything away from last night. they were getting off a long break and shaking off some rust. if they struggle for the next 3-4, start the conversation.

it's "intents and purposes," not intensive purposes.

I’m not taking anything from last night. I do think Freddy has been effective in spot duty on the top 2 lines and would like it to be full time. I am not sure what scenario is better in terms of how to use him and DeBrusk, but he’s earned it.

Starting to feel like Trent’s career progression is mirroring Brad’s to a degree. Typecast as a third line guy, but starting to show more as he gets comfortable

Corrected. I put “intents and purposes” first, changed it, and now changed it back.

I'd like to see Beech back on the 4th line.

Lauko - Beecher - Boqvist/Heinen.

Forbort definitely needs to sit until we find a replacement for him

I'd like to see some mixing and matching. a debrusk, zacha, frederic line would be of interest. That said, I just don't think major lineup shakes are needed.

Beecher was beat out by Boqvist. I like his face off capabilities and would rather have him in Boston with Steen in Providence personally

Montgomery hasn’t really settled on a lineup at all. Hes constantly tinkering and I don’t believe that is a bad thing.

Some days it’s Marchand, Coyle, Pasta. Others, he separates Marchand / Pasta combination.

All I’m suggesting is I’d like Frederic to join Zacha/Debrusk as the defacto top 6 and they can swap depending on what Montogmery wants do.

Said as much in my recent post for line-ups for next game:
- When healthy, Poitras deserves a lot more playing time statistically/analytically he has been very productive despite limited TOI relative to his peers. I like the JVR-Poitras-Geekie 3rd line.
- Forbort isn't right... put him back on LTIR and let him get healthy for the playoffs. Rotate Wotherspoon and Lohrei (if healthy) on the third pair.
- Beecher deserves a call up, he was bringing more to the 4th line than Steen/Boqvist/Brown. Great on the forecheck, big body, and was strong at the dot. Ideally fourth line Lauko - Beecher - Heinen
- Don't think we should break up Marchand - Coyle - Debrusk. I would rather do Freddy - Zacha - Pasta
- Boqvist preferably serves as the 13th forward - he's not really suited for a 4th line role. Heinen is a better player. Re-assign Steen to PVD.
- If team continues to struggle, call up Lysell and give him a few games in the top-9

well, now that we won't see poitras healthy again this season, i think they have to try frederic at center a bit.

dude you don't have to tell me you want lysell called up. its getting to be spam at this point.

but lysell can't play center. The bruins need another lineup regular thats capable up the middle in case of injury.

Dude. If they move him to center, they are going to have an opportunity at wing.

I don’t really care if you view it as spam because you don’t have the patience to have a viable discussion. It’s just going to make me it say it more because I find your rants about the subject annoyingly short sighted.
