laugh Try more like 7 x $9,000,000 for Jake Guentzel.

7 x $8,500,000 for Elias Lindholm

4 x $3,500,000 for Daniel Sprong.

That joke of an offer wouldn't even get you Dylan Larkin, Let alone getting you Sid Crosby.

I get you're having fun, but in what way does Ullmark make any sense for the Pens? Why are the Pens sending any picks back to Boston when you haven't even scratched the surface on what you'd need to send for Sid.

This deal wouldn't even open dialogue with Dubas.

Calling it a "joke" seems a bit strong. I have no clue what Sydney Crosby's price would be, and I frankly don't think he really wants to go anywhere. But how much more could PIT realistically ask for? Maybe one more pick or prospect? No team is going to give up all of their tradeable first round picks AND multiple of their top prospects AND a cost controlled roster player for a single year of Sidney Crosby. Sid's still good, but he can't win a cup all by himself.

Yes, this is true. I cannot see PIT paying 2 goalies 5m each.

A few realities at play here...

1) This is a joke of an offer. As dude said, that wouldn't even them Larkin.

2) The ask? You're looking at at least 2 firsts, probably a 2nd or two and more than one prospect.

3) The Bruins don't have the prospect quality for Dubas to even listen to an offer. I don't mean that as a rub, because the Pens system isn't much better, but there's nothing the Bruins have that is really attractive enough to get Sid.

Boston doesn't have attractive enough futures to for a trade like this to begin with. If Sid ever became available, which he won't, plenty of teams have nicer toys to offer.

I know Bruins fans treat Lysell like he's the cream of the crop, but the reality is he's just an OK prospect. His AHL numbers are certainly not tracking towards what an NHLer generally does to indicate success at the NHL level.

Exactly, Boston doesn't have the pieces to land any major player in the league.

The cost to get Crosby is basically something that will sell tickets and Merchandise in PIT.

You don't have that to offer.

It's like asking a team to trade you a pile of money for nothing. It's not going to happen.
