That is your response to everything.
Prior to his injury, Zegras' stats were subpar to say the least. You can't ride the 2022-23 stats into the haul you are expecting. Zegras could step up as a Hab under MSL, but how he performs after a trade does dictate his current trade value.
By themselves Slaf > Z and Reinbacjer > Z
Get your head out of the clouds.
Yeah, actually, we can, the numbers the previous two seasons speak for themselves, he's under contract for two seasons after this, and he's an RFA at the exit of that contract. Furthermore, if you'd bother to do any research, which I'm aware is a BIG ask, you'd know that of the 20 games Zegras played this season, he was trying to play hurt through about 15 of them, under a new coach, in a new system, while having missed camp. You think it's possible that a player might have a slow start with those considerations? Hmmm? Once Z came back from an injury shutdown, he was back to producing at his normal rate until he got dumped into the boards in Nashville.
If you'd bother to do some research, you'd also know that the guy claiming Z is available has a horrible track record of being right about the Ducks. Seravalli is the same clown that said Gibson would never suit up again in Anaheim. He's only been wrong what, hs season alone? If he had actual insiders in Anaheim he might have known about us taking Carlsson over Fantilli or the Gauthier trade. You might also learn WHY Verbeek made the Gauthier trade, to get the team more offense. Guess what Zegras has done the last two seasons? Been top two on the team in scoring.
But hey, why let logic, reason, or evidence mess with your fantasy land? How about this to finish, if he was available for that crap return, he would have been traded already. So how about you get your head out of your ass.
