Cowan isn't worth a 1st.

Idk how you conclude that his stock has gone down when he was accepted early to world juniors and almost made the leafs out of training camp.

Cam Talbot and David Rittich, who just shut out the powerful Edmonton Oilers last night, are doing fine. UFA Samsonov would be totally unneeded, so we don't even have to get to the subject of price.

His stock was a mid 2nd round pick, the leafs took him high. He hasn't played a single NHL game. Can you name one D+1 prospect that's been traded for a 1st round pick?

Who said anything about winning playoff games?!? The point at issue and under discussion is whether or not the Kings would be interested in a third leg, er, goalie -- you should know, you're the one who raised the subject in the first place. What caused your mind to wander?

Wild decline, Leafs fans please understand no one values your spare parts as much as you do, even if you think they're good, teams want pieces they value, not the pieces you think they should value

There is no reason for the Avs to do that. in fact, they're going to be the ones pursuing Fleury.

If that's the best offer they get...

But the retention would be a 5th at least... with the market the way it has been, I feel the Hawks will get more with retention.

It’s amazing how the Leafs retain 50% on Samsonov who has struggled all season and was on waivers but still manage to get a 2nd round pick.

The Leafs retain 50% on Brodie who has struggled all season and yet still manage to get a 2nd round pick… but somehow Chicago retains 50% on Johnson who has struggled and been injured all season but some how only get a 3rd round pick.

Nobody is giving the Leafs a 2nd for Samsonov or Brodie, even with retention. Brodie could get a 3rd, same as TJ. Samsonov would be lucky to get a 5th or 6th. He's not getting meaningful playing time with any playoff team.

Unless TJ goes on a major heater, a 3rd for him half retained is a fair return. He's a 3rd liner on a playoff team.

Im saying just cuz they had a shutout doesnt mean their goaltending problems are solved. Talbots ancient and was never that good in the first place. Rittich has never been a starter

He’s had over 20mins atoi the past 12 seasons. But sure, bury him on your third pair why not.
