Like, its not a bad deal for either team. Kakko has untapped potential, Islander save cap for another deal and get a 1st.

Rangers get a close to 40 goal scorer but this completely destroys their cap fro next season

Nelson is more valuable to the Islanders than he is to any other team. The only way the Islanders move him is if they are completely blown away by the offer to the point that they feel like they can't refuse it. This offer isn't that.

Even if this was that offer, the Islanders and Rangers will never make a trade of this magnitude. It's a total non-starter for both teams.
