Leafs accept if it comes with an extension and retention.

Whoa…Devils are paying a lot more than anyone else here. Our pick is in mid-teens. Bahl and Hameenaho are two of the better pieces here too.

2025 1st so hopefully NJ bounces back and that becomes a late pick, but I get where your coming from. How about Vanececk going back to CGY and Bahl is replaced with Topi Vilen or Danila Karpovich instead?

The Detroit and Dallas offers easily beat the others.

LOL, no they don't the Devils offer is one of the worst of the bunch. Your pick will be in the 20's probably the late 20's if you get a decent goalie or improve the defense with a player like Hanifin. Bahl + the Finnish prospect aren't very interesting either.

Bc they want to use the Hampus Lindholm deal as a comp but don’t want to retain, let other teams negotiate contracts with Hanifin, or take back the cap dump that Anaheim did

if you put the pick protection on Detroit's pick you should probably add it to NJ's as well. Don't you think?

I actually think the Detroit is pretty good if it comes with "THE EXTENSION!" But I don't think Detroit is still in the hunt!

I didn't put protection on anything, the original poster did that. wink

But sure do it, it won't matter if it's protected or not. If the Devils get Markstrom they'll probably make the playoffs and if they make the playoffs they could go far with a good goalie in the crease. Even if they don't make the playoffs they almost certainly won't be far out of them so their 1st won't be in the top 12.

I think it’s a massive overpay. The Stars one, the Lightning one and the Bruins one are the only good ones

              I don't think it's a good move for Detroit. But a

              good prospect - Berggren

Our 2024 1st (which is basically protected if we miss the playoffs and reverts to our 2025 1st unprotected)

Maatta to fill a spot vacated by Hanifin

Detroit needs to move an LHD or 2 to make room for a prospect and Hanifin. I don't know how Calgary fans would feel about it but from Detroit's pov it's fine.

I know, I was just asking your opinion.

That is a lot to give up. Hanifin should cost a late first and a second max. Detroit’s first will be 15-20. Maata could get a third or maybe a late second. So remove Bergren and add like a third and I would say it’s fair

So trade Maata somewhere else then. Berggren is a good prospect but he's also just another left shot winger. Left shot wingers are a dime a dozen and Calgary already has too many of them.

Honestly I think that is what will happen and I'm 100% ok with it.
