Seattle and Nashville have easy No's, and that Chychrun trade is terrible for the Sens, hence @kuuuuuuuch's joy at the offer.

Brutal Chychrun trade

Idk, I'm guessing he gets dealt this summer which brings down the value, maybe up the 5th to a 3rd, but Eyssimont is a solid pro

Howard should be a part of the trade I wanted him when we drafted Boucher

I’m not a fan of another undersized winger. Huuhtanen is the guy I’d want

As much as I'd love a left side of Hedman, Sergachev, Chychrun TB can't afford that much on a defenseman next season they'd have to trade Cernak, Sergachev or Hedman .

Agreed with all you said but Saros for 1st + 2nd + 4th + 2 prospects is an easy no? How much is he worth? Hockey fans always overvalue goalies trade value tremendously.

Is Sergachev going to play again I don't know if he'll be the same after. Forsberg had a similar injury last year and he isn't the same.

Clean breaks should be fine. He's done for this season

There's a chance, and I don't think that it's an insignificant chance, that none of that turns out to be an impact player in the NHL. I think that Nashville won't trade Saros unless there's a current quality asset coming back, not a package of 100% futures.

Now, if the first were Ottawa's own 2024 . . .

Canucks once got a 9th OA pick for 26 y/o Cory Schneider. There was no other assets and CS was young and had impressive stats and potential

Saros is 3 years older, I would not trade Ottawa's 1st (higher right now but should finish about 10th OA) for him, nevermind the other assets

I thought it looked like a ACL and MCL. Was it his femur or Tibia

I didn't say anything about other assets if Ottawa's first were involved. Your comparable is a good one if we factor in (1) Schneider had, as you say, potential whereas Saros is widely accepted to be a top-10 goalie right now, and (2) that ninth overall selection turned out to be Bo Horvat; my comment was directed to your earlier intimation that the quantity of the offer should carry weight. Knowing you, I'm sure that you don't expect Tyler Boucher or the Boston first to grow up to be Bo Horvat. Vancouver had a reasonable expectation that the ninth overall selection in 2013 was going to be a franchise-quality player.

He’s one of the worst players defensively this year according to the data. He has not been the same for 2 years now
