Drop CGY 2nd & make the TOR 3rd a conditional pick and the trade looks much better. CGY not giving up their 2nd in that trade!

Why the distain for Robertson??? He's playing well and Laughton has slipped. Leafs might make that offer to Flames....but no more. 21 man roster...no Holmberg, no 7th NHL Dman?

People here are going to poo on timmins and robertson but people in the leafs org know that those players are still 3-5 years from peaking and unless someones going to pay for their potential then theres no deal.

And since it takes 2 sides to negotiate, that also means it ain't enough

In general its all about who gives in first

If CGY holds on to long they may lose the chance to move or lose a dance partner if the price is to high

Thats what negotiating is for

Timmins is done here. He dont fit what this team needs and with Liligren showing what he can do as a PP QB its not looking good

Would try to move him at TDL for a B6 forward or a pick

Yes, but it's not just Flames vs Leafs, the Leafs are also competing with a plethora of other teams, teams that haven't traded away all their second round picks for the next 3 years and have much better prospects to move.

It's rumored the Canucks have already offered a 2nd and a prospect but the Flames never said yes, there is no way Tanev ends up in Toronto unless they are willing to move their 1st or Cowan, they just don't have the assets otherwise because plenty will be offering a 2nd+, so later picks and the Leafs meh prospects just aren't going to get it done.

Lul Cowen for Tanev is never happening even with a bidding war

The kids way to good to move for that guy hes not that good to get that

A 1st maybe but as said before if price is to high teams will look elsewhere. There's a lot of nice Dman available this TDL who yes arent as good but still can make impacts

His value wont be super high and honestly if someone gave a 4th or 5th or offered a 4th liner like Duher for him 0 objections

As for 1.1m to sit in the box not great
