For this we would and should. I am almost willing to bet that Kyrou is traded before his NTC kicks in on July 1, 2025 at this point. Think Doug has had enough. He went from 1st line, to 2nd line, to 3rd line, to 4th line, to benched in the third against Preds the other day.

Tbf Thomas played like 5 minutes last night against the Leafs. So should we trade him too?

Thomas played 19:38 yesterday….he also has a lot more equity than Kyrou…

True but and I was a little wrong he didn’t play much in the first period.

However my point still stands. Kyrou has been very good this year and taken huge steps forward on the defensive side. He’s just been unlucky along with Buch offensively

But seriously I have a feeling he may move kyrou to try and get our from a Defenseman contract as well. That's just my theory, but it would be ill advised to move him unless top line talent is coming the other way.

You need to get over this thing, man. Perron was sat from games multiple times. To ignore the strides he's made in becoming more complete - the thing everyone was moaning about constantly - is kinda crazy. This thing where Blues fans get a bug up their butts and it can never be removed no matter what the player actually does is just sad. How many young aces do we need to run off this way?

You need to get over be so married to certain players saying they are untouchable...what other "young ace" was run off...

Really? Mullen, Brind'amour, Emerson, Perron, Ronning, Dunn. That's just off the top of my head. I'm surely forgetting some.

And I never said Kyrou was untouchable to me. I said he's untouchable to Army, and we have loads of evidence for that.

How so? Keller's own dad took to twitter before the season started expressing frustration and wanting his son to be traded. The Blues have shown plenty of frustration with Kyrou...seems more logical than most of the nonsense on here.

Dunn was not run out...Doug unwisely signed veteran LHD and then couldn't protect him. If you are going back to Mullen, Brind'amour, Emerson, and Ronning, I'm just going to let that go. I will give you Perron who is one of my favorite Blues of all time. But even he admitted that he had some maturing to do his first time around with the Blues. The 2nd round pick for him also became Barby so I'd say that worked out.

I think an in division blockbuster is unlikely first off. Since 2015 name any in division blockbusters, there are none. This is more hypothetical than something that could actually happen. Also we know AZ doesn't like to take on cap.

1 - Heh. And why was the vet LD unwisely signed? Dunn was run off, man. Because they were too impatient and too lazy to teach.

2 - Not sure why those should be let go. They are lessons. Having some maturing to do is basically every player ever. We have a history of being too whiny about young players, who then get dealt and go on to do great things. Trading Kyrou would likely be a mistake on the level of Mullen and Brind'amour.

I'm not willing to just trade Kyrou for peanuts (sort of like we did with Oshie - you should have mentioned him wink. I think Keller would fit better and gives more lineup flexibility since he can play both wings. Could then put Snuggerud at RW with Thomas which I unfairly envision as our next Hull and Oates. And yes, I know they can still do this and not trade Kyrou.

I think Oshie was 29 (and was he an impending UFA, too?), so I did not include him.

But why is Keller preferable to Kyrou (who has played both wings and whizzes all over anyway so position isn't really an issue)? He's not better and he's signed for much shorter.

We have not seen Kyrou's ceiling yet. And he's made huge strides with defensive work. His contract will be a bargain for years. I have no idea why we'd trad ehim.

Well Kyrou will be 26 in 3 months and your saying he hasn't hit his ceiling yet is a little alarming. Keller is actually 2 months younger and better all around play in my opinion. It's not going to happen so doesn't matter. I'm also don't just prefer Keller because he's from here.

Is it alarming? How so? And really, I have no idea how Keller is a better all around player. He's fallen behind Kyrou defensively and cannot match him in transition. He's a better forechecker, and that fits us well, but we can't only have plumbers. We need a couple painters, too.

If I had to bet, I would bet that Kyrou gets traded eventually. You can disagree - all is well. You can also disagree who is better between him and Keller, I'm certain many NHL scouts would disagree with each other as well.

I’d trade Kyrou for Keller, it’s great when he shows off his skating ablilty and cellys but Snuggerud can replace his goal scoring in the top 6. We get out of an ugly contract that unlike Thomas, isn't and won’t live up to the potential. He’s better defensively but is out of position often, tries to get too cute with the puck when he should just shoot (like the rest of the team), and his slow, meandering strides dragging his stick behind him going back to the bench when his shift is up irks me for some reason.
