Penguins accept and block your number before you can try to undo the trade lol.
You could probably get ned for just a 3rd or maybe a 2nd if the market gets spicy

Bjugstad isn't skilled enough to be a top 6 centre on a Stanley cup team

zero need for a 1st rounder to be anywhere near a trade for Alex Nedeljkovic. take that away and I still think the Pens take the deal.

as for Bjugstad, last year he had 23 points in 59 games when he was traded, and brought back a 3rd and a 7th D-type when he was retained down to a $450K cap hit. I'll give you that he's scored a little more this year (29 points in 55 GP) but he's also getting paid $2.1M this year and next - so why is he all of a sudden worth a 1st and a pair of roster-ish players?

Ned with retention would cost you only a late 2nd.

your going to put fairbrother and meyers as rosterish really? and AZ is trading bjug until if they do next TDL.

its moot point AZ is not moving him, but rental vs under contract is huge difference. and he is not 2C - solid 3C and great on PK

Holy crap. Bjugstad at 450K returned a 3rd and a B prospect last year. You want to send a 1st for him at 2M now?

If Dubas can get a 1st+ for Ned, then Dubas needs to be rebuilding now because he would load up a preposterous number of assets on that standard.

eh, i'd say Fairbrother and Meyers are in the same ballpark as Michael Kesselring, the roster-ish player that the Coyotes got trading Bjugstad last year.

Never really said he was a 2C, just that he's doing more or less the same thing he did last year except he's getting paid $2.1M instead of $900K ($450K retained) - even with the extra year of term, I don't see how a guy getting paid more than double what he was last year is suddenly getting a 1st rounder.

Avs are overpaying a bit for ned.
Bjugstad won't be leaving Arizona again unless it's in free agency. But he's said that he wants to stay in Arizona, so he's probably going to be a coyotes for a long time

kesslering was 22yo D hadnt played in nhl yet, meyers is 25 W called up in 3 years in 53g has 6pts (-10 on great team too) fairbrother is 23 D playing in ECHL and hasnt played more than 37g in 5 years - i seriously doubt AZ has interest in either.

it wasnt my OP, but locked down for year + gotta add some weight over pure rental. moot point AZ loves him as their other Cs are 19, 23, 23 need a vet C
