You can say what you want, but Philly isn't trading him for a 4th. They will keep him unless they get a crazy return and those were Friedmans words.

In regards to the other trades. There is no chance we are getting 2 1sts for Laughton. And I think that a 1st is the max return for Walker.

They will keep him. Seeler is one of the most underrated defenseman in the league. He leads the league in blocked shots and has been playing on the 2nd pair often. He also has a crazy cheap contract.

It's not just Friedman, literally every Philly writer has said the team wants to resign Seeler unless they get an offer they can't refuse.

Get real a 30yr old guy with ONE 40pt season is getting 2 first round picks. As so aptly put by Swiss “Avs tell you to kick rocks”

I’m just going to point out that blocking shots doesn’t mean you are playing good defense it could be argued that you played it so bad that your guy got the shot off and you last ditch efforted it. When anybody references blocked shots as positive I always flash back to Patrick Nemeth being a big time shot blocker.

I agree with you it has to be a part of your overall game. Seeler is a good 3rd pair defenseman, I'm not suggesting anything else. Regardless the point is Philly isn't moving him unless they get blown away.

Also I understand that blocked shots is a loaded stat, but it is frequently referenced with Tanev as a major part of his game. He is currently 2nd in the NHL.

Yeah it’s totally loaded imo, I’m not a Tanev fan, I’ve been an Avs fan since literally day one and I just know how many bad dmen the Avs had that people thought were good because they blocked shots.

Lol @ 2 firsts for Laughton. I wouldn't give 1 first for him. Seeler is worth a third tops. Walker probably fetches a second.
