Best tradeplayoff roster

Description
Novak extension is the key to the trade. If he can’t agree on a contract then no deal!! Not sure of his numbers but I went a little light on the money imo, I could see 4AAV

Nashville would immediately call up Berard and place him on a top 9 wing.

Sykora would be a year or two away

Laba stock has risen a bit from what I understand, so maybe him instead

Korczak and Hendriksson seem very meh

CBB has tools but believe he had a concussion and missed time
————-
I’d like to buy low on Valimaki. Wondering if hes available or what they’d want

Valimaki is a very defensive-minded defenseman. Coyotes need that, and if they already have it (or some of it) , then there's no point in trading it.

you're basically giving up the package the Rangers got back for McDonagh and Miller and you're getting a few bottom 6 guys.

Why would you pay so much to get so little?

Trying to win the cup is why

They need these guys. Nyquist on 1RW and Novak is a good player who they could have enter the core. Trenin is probably more reliable then our two raw rookies (Edstrom and Rempe) for the 4th line

Maybe it’s less but I could see these teams hooking up on a trade like this

Don’t care about draft picks right now either. We have plenty in the cupboard and we’ll be good for awhile so these picks don’t have the percentages in their favor of making it

Berard is someone I’m willing to trade because there may not be any room for him in the NHL, we’re loaded at top 9 wingers. He’s also 5’9 175 lbs so there’s a chance he isn’t much of anything

Yeah sorry that's just awful asset management and player evaluation. Akin to "We need Sammy Blais, so we're just going to pay Buchnevich".

Nyquist is not a good hockey player. One of the worst Defensive F's in the league and getting carried offensively by one of the best players in the league. He was worth a 5th rounder last deadline. That hasn't really changed. Imagine paying a 1st+ to get 2021 Colin Blackwell. You're doing that.

Novak is fine in transition but gives all that back defensively. He's simply a worse, weaker version of Jack Roslovic, who you can get for about 1/10th of the price you're paying to get Tommy.

Trenin is fine, no problem with him. But he's a 4th liner. And if you're paying more than a mid round pick for a 4th liner, you shouldn't be a GM.

You can basically get an equivalent haul for a 3rd and a couple 4th rounders. But if you're this quick to just throw away Berard (20 points in his last 22 games) and justify that by simply quoting his size, then you've shown everyone just how much you watch this sport...

These are the rangers wingers for arguably the next decade or so

Laf
Kakko
Cuylle
Othmann
Perrault
Sykora/Berard
Edstrom
Rempe

We can afford to trade Berard right now, while his stock is high, for win now guys. If he was a center, yes, no interest in trading him

Nyquist ok maybe they could get someone better. But Novak would immediately become our 3C and they’d sure as hell re-sign him giving up that much. Trenin could also re-sign for a couple years till Perrault is ready

But all those guys listed could be in the lineup next opening night (except Perrault) and I rather trade the picks then any of the guys I listed aswell

I try to be fair and offer guys that makes teams say ok this is possible instead of trying to fleece teams
