Honestly it wouldn't be absurd for him to go for a 4th. Some team wanting a young Ryan Reaves will make the deal.

there's basically no real trade for rempe because he really doesn't have much value for teams beyond like a 3rd, and the rangers have no reason to move him at all especially for that. but his value is basically about a 3rd i'd say, you're paying solely for his enforcer qualities and pray he manages to develop serviceable bottom six qualities so he can stick in the lineup

although in hindsight it makes me wonder why the leafs didn't give curtis douglas at least a shot in the nhl when they had him, who was a very comparable player. basically ahl bottom-6 in terms of talent but 6'9, 242lbs and a great fighter

His actual market value is lower than his value to the Rangers right now. Wouldn’t make any sense to move him and they obviously won’t.

Young Ryan reaves?? More like young bob probert. Man drops bombs and has a goal and an assist in 5 games, while only having played something like a total of 18 minutes of ice time, if that. Man is goat and he’s already one of my favourite players

LOL, put some respect on Reevo, might not have had a 60 point season but he got to 20.

I mean teams wouldn’t offer maybe more than a 4th to get him and I think he’s one of those players where you just hold him because you’d rather him terrorize opponents than your own team

Love Ryan reaves, but Rempe really does look more like Bob then Ryan. Bob could really throw them and Matt is looking like he can have some pretty nice fights (Philly fight for example which is probably fight of the decade so far). I’m really excited for his next games and fights. Can score, assist and fight. Man is G.O.A.T

These are spot on. His value is only a 3rd at best-- but to a team like NYR that needs what he brings (size, physicality & speed) he's invaluable. Players that are 6'8" and are "capable NHLers" even in a 4th line capacity do not grow on trees (although they themselves grew like trees). NYRs best hope is that he's that 16 game player (playoffs) teams need that can terrorize the opponents D for 15-20 seconds before they put their top line back out against a tired/hurting defense.
