TDL 24 and Roster a few years out

Created by: sharksdoee
Team: 2023-24 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 28, 2024
Published: Feb. 28, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Future Roster Observations :
LW: Pretty Set
C: Need T6 C if Hertl goes to Bos or anywhere.
RW: Could use another M6
LD: Pretty Set
RD: Need a B4 D

Alternate draft - SJ gets the #1.

Take Celebrini and then at Pitt's pick shoot for RD Parekh, Yakemchuk, or maybe Jiricek. If all gone maybe RW MBN or Greentree. Either way there would/will be a hole at C/RW/RD that would need to be plugged with the '25 1st.
Getting another first this draft or preferably next would set this team up well in the late 2020s.

You've made one of the classic AGM blunders, you're assuming every single prospect will pan out. Aside from Smith and (almost certainly) whoever the Sharks draft in the top 5 this year, none of these guys are guaranteed to become NHL regulars.

This was more looking at future org depth at each position and seeing what needs to be addressed and who might still be around AHL or otherwise. Of course many of these spots will be filled by UFAs and trades, but I would be optimistic about the left side both D and F, alright at center, and certainly weak at RW and RD. I don't see Wiesblatt cracking the nhl based off what he's shown in the minors. Of course Halttunen, Robins, and Havelid are wild cards and could easily flame out at the pro level. Really just looking at top prospects and who/where they might be in a few years.

Should certainly see them at the end of this season assuming a few FWs are shipped out and Hertl/Couture remain out.

They're looking good definitely. Hopefully we see them on the Cuda next season.
