Description
Knowing Brind’amour obviously the lines would shift a bit but with one more big time scorer there’s not really a “wrong” way to do it. The two second rounders could be packaged to move up if we really like a guy in the draft as well.

With the deadline cap space the Canes still have, there is no reason to be including Pesce.

We don't really have a use for Pesce. And there isn't a lot of time to turn around and flip him. A 3-way or a trade not involving Pesce would probably be best

I agree... on a completely unrelated note... Has Buch played a lot of center?

He played for a stretch at the end last season and came up pre-Rangers as a center. He's probably better on the wing but he wasn't bad at center aside from Faceoffs where he was really bad. I wouldn't trade for him with what his price would be to be a center unless it's in a pinch or if someone gets injured.

That's totally fair... I was just wondering how useable he was at that position.

I would be fine not including Pesce, would y’all accept just with removing Pesce?

Dude, no. And it makes no sense to put Pesce in the same deal with a 1st three drafts from now. Are the Blues tearing down or are they retooling? And unless Faulk goes, which I'm not opposed to, there's no place for Pesce anyway.

Here's a handy dandy guide for everyone on how to make a Buch offer:
1 - Start with the obvious realization that Buch is not a UFA on the block. The Blues do not want to sell him. Adjust offer to this reality.
2 - Kick off the offer with either a young legit top 4 Dman/prospect or a stupid high 24 1st. Due to #1, no one is getting Buch for what they want to give up.
3 - If one cannot or will not do #2, just pack it in. Go chase Guentzel.

See what Mokumboi posted. I personally don't love Morrow but it would take i'd imagine a Morrow on top with the assumption that he'd be willing to sign with us, which could really complicate things. Seems like more and more college kids are holding out to go where they want.

A 1st in 24 and a 2nd in 26 isn't going to cut it. It's very easy to rationalize that the Blues could get that return and more next season as a UFA rental or at bare minimum at the draft, so what's the benefit on our end of fracturing our top line?

Perfect, we’ll just also add in Nikishin and another 1st and square it away
