I like the first trade, but it's risky for Vancouver to give away their future first-round pick for Toffoli.

Overpaying for Ullmark by a 1st.

And Brady by a 1st+ as well. That’s SIGNIFICANTLY more than Matthew got, and Matthew was significantly better

Remove the first.

Add Forbort retained 50% for Nosek if you want him or leave that part out

Toffoli I believe will get a first if he gets moved. I did a first for Boston since they b taking back vv. Could do holtz vv n nosek instead of the first. Didn't realize Boston would want nosek

My assumption is if you trade Toffoli, you are keeping Holtz or vice versa.

The nice thing about the Boston deal is you aren’t going to get a goalie for 1.6M over Vanacek thats worth a damn and Toffoli is a better option in free agency than goalies that will be available.

Holtz is a risk and I am not doing you a favor by including him, but the first round pick probably fits your timeline better in terms of roster balancing

In general…but more into bottom-six and blueline.

Add three good fourth liners…fast and heavy…hard on forecheck.

Add one top-4 dman who protects puck.

Don’t overspend on goalie…aim for top-20…not top-10.

Brady Tkachuk simply isn’t good enough to be worth this much.

i mean yeah it’s too much, but i’m just saying it doesn’t make sense to base the return on what matthew got

A trade would only be made if Brady wanted out so I’d say it’s valid (that’s how virtually all star player trades work).

The comp is use that fits perfectly imo is Meier. Maybe Tkachuk gets a touch more.

They had virtually identical production, similar contract expectations with meiers extension coming in similar to Tkachuks existing term. Tkachuk is younger, Meier had better defensive metrics

Bottom 6 r dime a dozen. Next yr Hamilton is back n Hughes n nemec have another yr of experience. Hopefully marino n seigs return to their normal self. Goalie is the 1 major need so I'd rather overspend n get a top 10.

I hear ya…but we have a pretty ineffective bottom six.

Wonder if there’s anything we could do to get Ryan McLeod out of Edmonton, ignoring the terrible PR

He seems to play an important role there…so I doubt it.

There are guys out there…and Holanen and Foote probably deserve a look. Although Foote is really slow.

Any quality 2 way C is going to cost a pretty penny. I’d be willing to put our 1st on the table for a McLeod type asset tho ngl.

Maybe frost fits that, maybe Ryan McLeod, maybe someone else. Who knows.
