Dubas turns Pens into contenders

Description
...in 2030 hopefully. What's the record for most 1st round picks in an NHL draft? Because Dubas is going for it.
Value wise I think Dubas gets exploited on most every deal, but that is to be expected when the players have a lot of contract clause leverage. Loaded up on 2026 so they better do well in that draft. Fans and ownership need to be prepared for irrelevance until at least 2030.

Personally, I wouldn’t do that. Karlsson wouldn’t help us much more than Ceci does. Sure, we would be shedding Campbell’s salary, and also getting an effective player, but I wouldn’t say this makes us much better. Karlsson would be second pairing with Nurse, let in 20 goals a game, and be on the second PP unit. No way would I put him on the first pair in front of a good Evan Bouchard. We should go for a defensive defender, not an offensive one.

If you are saying the cap restrictions with Karlsson I can somewhat see that argument. If you are claiming Karlsson isn't leagues superior to Ceci as a 2RD then I can't wrap my mind around that claim.

It’s based on the rest of my post. He wouldn’t get more than second pair with Nurse, let in a billion goals a game, get second PP time. So yes, no way he would help us much more than Ceci, based on how bad he is defensively, and Bouchard would be above him. Sure he’s good, but not what we are looking for imo.
