Mitts won't be traded for futures. The only situation where he's traded is in a hockey trade where the Sabres are getting back a young rh shutdown dman

Isles would certainly have to some real cap juggling to fit Mitts into their lineup next year. Sorokin has already signed for a raise of 4.25m, and the Isles don't have any big expiring contracts.

Here's the issue with guys like Pageau. He has M NTC, he isn't worth his contract, so no team on his trade list won't be trading for him, unless they can send equal cap to the Isles.

I don't see the Sabres trading Mitts at the deadline, but I'd be willing to bet that any trade with the Islanders would include Wahlstrom. Donny loves his former USNDT guys that he can remold.

Once you get over the fact Byram is a LH, you'll enjoy his talent. Sabres D got a lot better
