Tarasenko probably returns a 2nd and 4th without an NTC but because of the NTC it’s a 3rd and 4th

Mantha didn't have a full NTC essentially Tarasenko could only be traded to one team and that gave Florida a lot more leverage compared to the Mantha situation where he could be traded to anyone.

Mantha and Tarasenko have similar ES production this year, Mantha rebounded nicely and is a better defensive player. Tarasenko would return more in normal circumstances due to track record but looks like there was only one potential buyer. Staios was totally handcuffed and got whatever he could get. Panthers were probably offering less at the beginning.
