I would be ok with Zucker if it only cost a 4th. He's pure rental, we won't re-sign for sure.

For $350K more (and probably a lower pick because there's no retention) you could have Anthony Duclair, who I think is a better fit with his speed.

What's the reasoning behind Comrie? Sorokin + Varlamov are locked in at the NHL level and they're using Bridgeport more to develop younger goalies than stash a 3rd. If Varlamov gets hurt, they bring up Appleby for emergencies and ride Sorokin til the wheels fall off; if Sorokin gets hurt, the wheels have already fallen off and it doesn't matter who they call up to be the backup goalie.

Appleby got blown out in his one game and hasn't put up great numbers in the AHL, so Comrie seems like a more reliable option both as starter for Bridgeport and as goalie insurance should they need it, which is not too uncommon in the playoffs (if they make).

I would imagine if Varlamov gets hurt again they'd call up Henrik Tikkanen (after how the Appleby experiment went) being that he has by far the best AHL stats for us. Appleby has a .895% 3.01GAA and is 6-8-0 in AHL and and Skarek has a .888% 3.21GAA and is 5-18-5. However Tikkanen has a .931% 2.05GAA and is 7-3-2, small sample size but significantly better numbers than the other two
