Mike Fisher isn't leaving Carrie Underwood and Nashville at this stage of his career. It's probably Nashville or retirement for him.

Rangers would be better suited looking for center depth from a package involving Holden, more mid-late round draft picks won't help this team.

Holden is coming off a great season and will probably cost at least a 2nd and a 3rd.

And the fact Zib is going to get 2 years is ridiculous. I'd honestly trade him at this point

Yeah, it sounds like he may go to arbitration & the Rangers should take the 2 year term. I'd rather see him get 6 years with AAV of 4.875 but it's sounding like he wants to get bigger dollars in 2 years as an UFA

I'm sure Carrie could find a nice place in NYC & fly in when the Rangers are in town . It's not likes it Winnipeg?
I tend to think it's Nashville or back to Ottawa or he calls it a career. His wife is worth like 200 Million. smile

Maybe Bryan little in Winnipeg or Tyler Bozak from Toronto. Both would cost more than Holden and some picks . Rumor TOR already turned down some Holden for Bozak swap.

We got him for 4th so a 3 & 5 i'll take. I don't think anyone look at him as better than a 2nd pair D man at best, more than likely a versatile bottom pair.

https://www.fanragsports.com/nhl/ny-rangers/mika-zibanejad-contract-big-issue-new-york-rangers/

"Larry Brooks at the New York Post speculated this weekend that while the Rangers would prefer to sign him to a multi-year contract, Zibanejad might prefer a shorter-term deal to maximize his value in two years, when he could become an unrestricted free agent and potentially cash in on the open market. At that point he could be a really good center in his prime, available to the highest bidder."

I get that but Galchenyuk who's a better player in my opinion, has had 30 goals did 4.9 for 3 years. Gorton isn't getting him for more than 5 years unless he goes into the mid $5.5M-$6M range. Zib with all due respect hasn't proven he's a 60 point player and should be more than okay with 4.75-5M for 4 years, if he wants to pull Galchenyuk got 3 years than 4.5-4.75 for 3 years. 2 years would suck imo. If he gets 50 points he becomes worth $6M+ which is ridiculous.

Quickie will start the year on LTIR as he recovers from hip surgery, out until November.

Nieves a stop gap until Fast is ready. he looks to be the best in house option, Tambellini? Letteri? Dawson? Gropp? Maybe they sign another bottom 6 forward but i think Gorton is gonna use what he has in house until then. Don't be surprised if Lias Anderson gets a 9 game audition & then sent to the SHL or Hartford. His ELC will slide a year and he may see the wing over C.
