Greiss and Bouwmeester for Murray?

I can't do that trade as Bouwmeester is too old for me.

I'd do something around Murray + for Greiss + McAvoy though. Ryan Murray + Cody Ceci for Charlie McAvoy + Thomas Greiss. I think the best asset in the deal would be McAvoy, but then the next 2 would be Murray and Ceci and Greiss would pull up the rear of the deal. I'd have to shuffle some stuff around after, but I do like McAvoy a lot and I do have serious interest in Greiss as well because I really only have a #1 A/B type goalie that needs a partner to tandem with. IF you want to keep McAvoy I could probably do a prospect with Greiss. Maybe Jonas Seigenthaler for Greiss 1 for 1.

That's kind of steep. Mueller is likely to be in the top 6 this season and the Devils did a good job helping John Moore rebound when he was in a situation like Mueller. I could do Mueller straight up for Greiss, but I don't think I'd like to add anything.

I think Greiss is bad and will get beat out this year by the better Halak. Halak had a down year but will rebound and work hard, he's clearly had the better career and they are about the same age. The only reason I have interest in Greiss is because I think he'll get atleast 30 games and I don't think Markstrom can handle more than 50, so it would make a good tandem. Even if it ended up like 45 to 37 games they play I'd be happy, but as it stands now I'm missing a quality backup who can play over 30 games especially if Markstrom sucks. Greiss is also overpaid as a backup type goalie or fringe starter at best and when he played 50 games he put up pretty bad numbers. He was literally 29th in GAA of goalies who played 30 games or more and was 25th in Save % which was also lower than his backup in Halak. If I'm giving up a dman who's battling only Will Butcher and Dalton Prout to be in the top 6 and is 22 years old + "something good" I'd need a lot more than Greiss. He's just a fringe starter at best who's better as a backup when he doesn't have to play as much. He is a late bloomer and can handle some games, but I think the Islanders are screwed if Halak doesn't emerge as the #1. Greiss playing at a 2.70 GAA and a .915 Save % would be missing the playoffs.

A 2nd and a 4th won't get you anyone good in the NHL from me. Maybe like Matthew Spencer or Julius Bergman. Not interested as much in picks as I am for 25ish year old NHLers who are already good players.

Nelson is slightly higher value imo, but neither are easy to move at all. They fit my game plan way too well to move for lesser pieces.

Nelson is like 3x better than Caggiula imo. You'd need 2x 1sts + Copp to acquire him.

No, Rask is a 2nd line C who's a really really good player. I think his journey through trades will stop here. He's way too good to sell off for lesser items.
