Oilers will match without question, and in return they would put down an offer sheet on Granlund, just to f**k you up lol

They don't need granlund so they'd just be handcuffing themselves....

when u drop an offer sheet, and the other team matches, u drop a one bit higher. that way u f**k up the other teams cap situation. it happened with O'Rielly I think and it also happened with Nash and Philly regarding Weber. when matthews and marner and nylander need extensions, tampa, habs, buffalo or even florida should drop offer sheets, just to damange the leafs cap situation. its a nasty move, but it helps ur team remain competitive

Even if Edmonton didn't match (they would), you'd owe them 4 first round picks, not the picks you show above. And I think Granny will require more than $5MM per.

They couldn't. Once the arbitration process starts, offer sheets can no longer be signed. Both Nino and Granlund have elected for arbitration. Want to drop a big offer sheet on Dumba or Zucker next year? Cool, well gladly accept the picks.
