Absolutely the right move with Lindgren. Probably get less back than what’s mentioned here, but NYR should go forward with Miller and Jones on LD, then look to either promote or acquire a bottom 4 D, after letting Gust walk.

As far as Forwards- Chytil’s health is the key to all moves. If it looks even remotely dicey going forward, then they gotta fill 3c- from within or via trade.

Neither Gus or Kakko are worth their contracts on here. Trading Lindgren for no replacement is quite silly. Jones has played 2 good games vs the 10 or so bad ones earlier in the year, let alone all the bad ones in the years prior. This is a hard no. Rangers fans are so reactive to 1 game haha... already putting Trouba on the 3rd pair because Schneider has been good for 1 game on the 2nd pair...

Gus ranks #91 in xGF% among defensemen that have played at least 500 minutes as per NST. The above mentioned contract would be a steal.
