The Ullmark deal is interesting. I would prefer trading the second round picks for William Wallender and Trey Augustine

Boston's 2nds are falling later than both Wallinder and Augustine were picked, and both are, at the least justifying where they were picked, if not showing they should've gone earlier.

I’m not a huge fan of second round picks. My expectation is they should be able to secure a first or parlay him with other considerations for something better than this. I’d rather have Wallinder than both second round picks

Ahh I get what you're saying.

FWIW, it's a non-starter for me, and I assume for Yzerman, because I don't see us trading any future of significant value for a 34 year old goalie.

Not to say he doesn't have value. Just not a move I think Detroit makes.

I'd sign both Seider and Raymond to 8 year deals.

They'll just become a lot more expensive after signing bridge deals.

Especially Seider.

87.7 mil Cap next season.

When did Ullmark age 4 years? He’s 30. All I’m saying is that two second round picks, IMO, are not the same as a first round pick.

I’d assume it would be Wallinder for Ullmark. Maybe a late pick to supplement.

Completely OK keeping Ullmark through next year rather than force players into our cap space

I assumed that when you said it. No issues

I think that Wallidner for Ullmark is a tidy trade. Boston gets a close to NHL ready defenseman to challenge for the third line position. The Husso part of the original deal is only done if it’s necessary. The goalie acquired is probably an insurance polity to Bussi rather than a need
