This year's Dach/Newhook deal is imo going to be Alex Holtz (If a deal gets made). Originally people thought it was going to be Zegras but with the Ducks gm coming out and saying he's off the market then I doubt a deal will get done. Next up would be Kakko, not having a good season and ties to Gorton, makes sense for the Habs to get him. However the Rangers are in their competitive window, doesn't make a lot of sense for them to trade their still high potential 2nd overall for picks and prospects that Montreal has, we just don't have enough NHL ready forwards (That we are willing to part with*) to make a Kakko deal work.
So... Alex Holtz, Devils are in a lot shakey-er position, flopping between competing and lottering winning year in and year out. They're underusing Holtz as a perennial 4th liner, a big part of acquiring Newhook was giving a young talent a less sheltered role in order for them to excel.

No check would you signed him for seven years. It's different than the compensation 6.434,000 figure. You signed for 4,596,000 X 7

Ottawa has zero reason to trade Pinto. So they won't.

Holtz, Lundell, Holloway, Reichel, K Johnson all candidates. I like Holtz or Lundell the most

Mittelstadt obviously doesn't sign that.

Colorado obviously matches if he does

Ottawa obviously doesn't do that

wut? Dont go overboard. Dach has a bargain contract and Chychrun has a year left before UFA. Dach=Pinto But I'm sure Staois can get a 4rd and 3rd for Jakob ala Tarasenko

Florida is a tough spot with the cap along with Montour, Reinhart to sign and their RFAs. I've already made a few ACGMs for Lundell. I'd offer two late 1sts.

Cooch may never play again, and they may need that salary to hit the cap floor for the remainder of his contract so they'd prefer to keep him. And if he does then the Sharks would love him to be a 2C when he is healthy and a mentor to young forwards coming up

Its a hypothetical trade site. Better is subjective. You all think every noteworthy player is worth Gretzky prices. Pinto has heat in Ottawa and with the league. Moving him for less than two early 1sts isnt unrealistic! Look up the Eichel trade or the Hertl trade. Both have put up much better seasons than Pinto and neither of them went for close to what you think Pinto is worth here. Ottawa management has already stated they want a new mix. Tkachuk is even on the table according to the hearsay. Deal with it!

Tarasenko had a FULL NTC and asked to go to Florida - OTT got what they could. Chychrun has a 10 team NO TRADE list.
Ottawa doesn't even consider this offer. They stop thinking about it immediately after hanging up.

well if "the hearsay" says so! The Sens issues were most prominent before Pinto came back lmao, he's been nothing but fantastic since his return. he absolutely does not "have heat" in Ottawa, the team loves him, management loves him, and the team stuck by him throughout his suspension. the relationship couldn't be stronger. and Staios has actively said that the Tkachuk "hearsay", is, quoting, "couldn't be further from the truth", and that he's the piece they're building around. it is indeed a hypothetical trade site, so you can post whatever you want, you can defend it however you want. but that doesn't make you right when you just start making stuff up to try to defend your poorly thought out ideas

I was joking about Tarasenko when you have Sens fans claiming Pinto is worth Eichel plus prices. Many, many Habs fans prefer Dach over him. Jesus Christ. You Sens fans need to get outside more. Saying Sens hang up for no reason is childish, non sequitor nonsense.

Fine. Ottawa doesn't hang up. They tell you to call back when you have a serious offer for Chychrun, and Chychrun alone.
With Norris about to undergo another shoulder surgery Ottawa isn't trading a 23 y/o right shot pivot who's rocking a .77 pts/gp after a 41 game suspension and no camp.
What you would need to offer Ottawa to change their minds would be far more harmful to your roster than what you've suggested above.
