Fun idea but I doubt there is enough for the Kings to move Byfield. They could get a more assured elite goaltender for Byfield

I can't see the Kings being willing to trade Byfield at all right now. On the other hand, a line with Byfield and Thompson would be insane size with speed lol.

Especially not with UPL only extended 2 years.. so he walks like Ullmark in 2 years - who's our goalie?

Not close. Come back to us when your boy's line looks like (20) 2.29/0.916 instead of (20) 3.30/0.891.

He's still an RFA at the end of that deal.

Portillo is playing as well as Levi is in the AHL.

LA has their answer in goal and need Byfield.

Gotta think the Kings go with their youngster Portello as goalie next season and a veteran. Not two young goalies by trading for Levi.

Sabres aren't trading Levi
It’s not at all “interesting”
It’s actually pretty dumb
UPL isn’t a “sure thing” yet- it’s been less than OBE year of him playing great for us

I feel like this trade is far worse for LA than even Kings fans are even realizing,

Byfield is primed to be an absolutely elite player, not only has he become elite defensively but he is just starting to find his offensive stride and is only 21 years old. Not only that but he's shown to be comfortable in the playoffs at a young age by holding his own playing against the best player in the world.

Rosen is no guarantee to be a top 6 guy, the 2nd could easily turn out to be nothing and goalies in this league are never a safe choice to bet on no matter what

Yeah, but try telling that to some of the Buffalo herd. According to them, Levi is already the next Martin Brodeur or Patrick Roy.
